Meet The Wild Cooks & Families 

Wild Cooks Kitchen would proudly like to introduce The Fischer Family. This Family of 6 is a perfect example that embodies the spirit of the wild cook. The entire family is always busy and on the go! Dad, Pastor Jay Fischer is a preacher at the local church, as well as doing tons of community outreach- not only locally but often traveling to far-off lands to help strangers in need. Pastor Jay began serving at Calvary Baptist Church located in Wisconsin Rapids, WI in 2026. Previously he was the Pastor at Faith Baptist Tabernacle in Sherburne, NY since August 2011. He is a graduate of Clarks Summit University and Baptist Bible Seminary, and he and his wife Erin have four children, J.J., Grace, Justus, and Joy. Jay is an avid outdoorsman which includes hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing, and competitive shooting. Mom Erin, homeschooling all her kids, teaches piano and in general is “getting things done and making things happen”. They’re a well balanced team who divide and conquer daily responsibilities of raising kids, working, community outreach, faith and putting food on the table. Jay is an avid hunter and DEFINITELY a wild cook! He’s hunted the majority of his life and has developed his own recipes, one of which is Rabbit Dijon. Prepared first in a cast iron frying pan, then transferred to finish in a dutch oven which we will show you on the first episode of Wild Cooks Kitchen. This dish will rock all rabbit lovers' worlds!
